VNIRO participated in the preparation and holding of the Rosrybolovstvo Round Table

On January 18, 2024, a round table "Modern education for a successful future" was held in the conference hall of Pavilion 51 "Meat Industry" at VDNH as part of the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia".

At the event, which was the first this year in a series presented by educational and scientific organizations of Rosrybolovstvo, an informal dialogue between students and teachers with young people took place. All sides of obtaining specialized education at universities and colleges, creating conditions for starting work and building a career in the fisheries sector were discussed.

More than 80 people took part in the event in person, including students of MBOU gymnasium No. 7 named after D.P. Yakovlev, Krasnogorsk, - "sponsored" by the Russian federal research institute of fisheries and oceanography (VNIRO), and online - about 2 thousand people.

Vasily Sokolov, Deputy Head of Rosrybolovstvo, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of the issues discussed for the development of the fishing industry.

The speakers, 4 people from universities and 4 from colleges, presented their arguments in 4 nominations: features of admission, education, student life, employment after graduation, and in the final answered the questions of the participants. Moderators of the round table Nikolay Zimagorov and Ekaterina Seromakha (VNIRO) skillfully focused the attention of the participants on the most important problems of sectoral education.

The change in the results of the online survey of participants was noteworthy: from 66% for higher education at the beginning of the meeting to 62% for secondary-special education at the end, which showed the interest of young people in all types of educational institutions of Rosrybolovstvo and pleased the speakers who presented their "alma mater".

The next event at this venue will take place on January 25th. On this day, the head of Rosrybolovstvo Ilya Shestakov will meet with cadets and university students, and then young scientists of VNIRO will tell about their path to science to high school students, college and university students, and everyone.
