VNIRO is a laureate of the interstate award "The Best standardizer of the CIS — 2026"

On July 8-10, the 69th meeting of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (IGC) was held in Issyk‑Kul region (Kyrgyz Republic).

The participants focused on issues of harmonization of technical regulation, removal of trade barriers and strengthening cooperation between the IGC and the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The meeting was attended by delegations from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the EEC, the CIS Executive Committee, international organizations (ISO, IEC, United Nations UNIDO), the Bureau of Standards of the IHS and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

An important event of the program was the solemn ceremony of awarding the interstate Award of the MGS "The best standardizer of the CIS — 2026". It was established by the Interstate Council itself: the award recognizes achievements that strengthen economic cooperation between the Commonwealth countries. The competition was organized by Kyrgyzstandart, the Center for Standardization and Metrology under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In the nomination "For practical contribution to the development of standards of great economic and social importance", the staff of the Scientific Research Center of the Russian Federation "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO) became the winner. This is not the first recognition of the merits of the institute's specialists: in 2024, they received the public award "Standardizer of the Year" in a similar nomination. The new award is another evidence of the team's high professionalism and the importance of its work for the fisheries industry and interstate cooperation.
