VNIRO experts assessed the condition of carp fingerlings

On August 3, in the laboratory of ichthyopathology, specialists of the freshwater fisheries branch of the National Research Center of the Russian Federation "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO) conducted an examination of carp fingerlings from the pond of the Yakot OSPH production site. The work was carried out within the framework of state monitoring: scientists assessed the health of aquatic biological resources and aquaculture facilities.

The specialists performed a full cycle of diagnostic procedures — they measured and weighed the fish to calculate the fatness coefficient, conducted a clinical examination, as well as parasitological, bacteriological and virological analyses. Microscopy of mucus and scrapings from the gills did not detect ectoparasites.

As a result, the fingerlings showed no signs of parasitic and infectious diseases, and their physiological condition was assessed as good.

The data obtained give grounds to expect the formation of high-quality fish planting material for further cultivation.
