VNIRO expedition in the Dudinka area

Specialists from the Krasnoyarsk branch of the Scientific Research Center of the Russian Federation "All—Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO) summed up the results of an expedition trip to the Dudinka area (June 30 - July 17, 2026).

In the course of the work, the scientists conducted comprehensive ichthyological and hydrobiological studies: they carried out control fishing of chira in the Leontievskaya Bayou and ichthyography of the Yagelnaya and Lesovaya (Nameless) rivers, tributaries of the Yenisei.

At all sites, experts took samples, measured hydrological and hydrochemical parameters, and also conducted a biological analysis of 355 fish, including chir (214 specimens), pike (53), ide (28), pelad (23), perch (18), whitefish (11), nelma (5) and roach (3). Additionally, hydrobiological samples were collected from the Yagelnaya and Lesovaya rivers.

The results will help to assess the state of fish populations and calculate recommended catch volumes in the reservoirs of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
