VNIRO Director Kirill Kolonchin participates in negotiations on the development of Russian-Brazilian cooperation in the field of fisheries

Kirill Kolonchin, Director of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO), Doctor of Economics, is on a working visit to Brazil as part of the government delegation of the Russian Federation headed by Nikolai Platonovich Patrushev, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation. The head of the branch institute accompanies the head of Rosrybolovstvo Ilya Shestakov.

During the visit, a key meeting was held in Brasilia on August 3 with the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Rivetla Edipo Araujo Cruz.

The main topics of the interstate dialogue were the expansion of mutual trade and scientific and technical partnership, including joint resource research in the Atlantic and the exchange of relevant technologies in the field of aquaculture.

The participation of industry science represented by the Director of VNIRO is designed to provide fundamental expert support for the formation of long-term agreements and effective development of aquatic biological resources in the interests of food security.
