VNIRO at the meeting of the working group on the development of the fisheries complex of the Rostov region

On May 12, a meeting of the interdepartmental working group on the development of the region's fisheries complex was held in Rostov-on-Don. The event was chaired by Alexey Vasiliev, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Rostov Region.
 
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Legislative Assembly of the Rostov Region, the Azov-Black Sea Territorial Administration of Rosrybolovstvo, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Rostov region, fish farms and regulatory authorities of the region, as well as other organizations related to fisheries.
 
Industry science was presented at the meeting by specialists from the Southern Branch of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO): Leonid Bugaev, head of the branch's scientific department, Anton Polin, head of the Aquaculture Center, and Anna Pavlyuk, head of the Laboratory for Artificial Reproduction of Aquatic Biological Resources.
 
They made a presentation on the topic "On places of mass death and causes of death of aquatic biological resources in the inland waters of the Rostov region, elimination of consequences, prevention and prevention of situations of loss of aquatic biological resources (overseas period)", in which the factors contributing to the occurrence of overseas phenomena were analyzed in detail, and proposals for a set of measures to minimize their negative impact impact on aquatic ecosystems. 
 
Also during the meeting of the working group, issues of prospects for the development of aquaculture in the Rostov region, the availability and condition of sewage treatment plants for the prevention of overseas phenomena, and the feasibility of conducting research on the negative impact of shipping on aquatic biological resources and their habitat were considered.
 
Following the meeting, a number of proposals were adopted for the development of the fisheries complex of the Rostov region, which will be reflected in the relevant protocol.
