VNIRO at China Fisheries & Seafood Expo

On October 28, the 29th International Exhibition of Fisheries, Seafood and technology China Fisheries & Seafood Expo started in Qingdao. This year has become a special one for the Russian fishing industry: in the tenth anniversary year of participation in the exhibition, Russia is demonstrating the largest exposition for the entire time of its presence at the site.

More than 60 domestic companies are located on an area of over 1600 m2, which is a record coverage in terms of the number of participants and the size of the pavilion. Representatives of the entire fisheries sector are gathered in a single space: mining enterprises and manufacturers of finished products, suppliers of feed and technological solutions for aquaculture, logistics operators, as well as companies from the field of shipbuilding and ship repair. Such a wide range of participants gives foreign partners a unique opportunity not only to evaluate the diversity of Russian fish products, but also to get acquainted with complex solutions, from production technologies to supply management.

The host party congratulated the organizers and exhibitors of the Russian pavilion on this important date during the official tour, which traditionally began with an inspection of the exposition of the Russian Federation. The Chinese delegation was headed by Ma Youxian, a member of the People's Political Consultative Council of China, who previously served as Deputy Minister of Agriculture. The foreign guests were greeted by Kirill Kolonchin, Director of the SSC RF "All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography" (VNIRO), Doctor of Economics, Sergey Mikheev, Head of the representative office of Rosrybolovstvo in China, and Ivan Fetisov, CEO of the organizing company of the Russian pavilion, Expo Solutions Group.

Participation in the exhibition highlights Russia's growing role in the international fish market and its willingness to expand cooperation in the field of fisheries and aquaculture.
