The Chinese side expressed interest in the developments of Russian scientists in these fields.
Breakthrough technologies in the field of fish and seafood cultivation in the open sea on mobile self-propelled aquaculture platforms became one of the main topics of negotiations between VNIRO scientists at Guangdong Oceanic University (GDOU), Zhanjiang, where the Russian delegation visited on May 28.
Aquaculture, genetics, and the improvement of mathematical models for fisheries forecasts are topics for cooperation and scientific exchange between VNIRO and GDOU in the coming years.
Concluding his visit to the People's Republic of China, Kirill Kolonchin noted that the deepening contacts between Russian-Chinese cooperation in the scientific and technical field bring mutual benefits to the fisheries of both countries.
