As part of the work, the scientists carried out control net surveys and also conducted a detailed analysis of the catches made by amateur fishermen — this comprehensive approach made it possible to obtain an objective picture of the current state of fish populations.
According to the observations, pike predominated in amateur catches during this period; grayling was caught occasionally. The results of the control net surveys confirmed the presence of ide, perch, and pike in the water body, and also revealed the presence of taimen — a valuable species that serves as an important indicator of the health of the river ecosystem: its presence indicates relatively favorable conditions in the river.
The collected field materials are currently undergoing detailed processing. Based on them, specialists will prepare scientific recommendations that will form the basis for measures to preserve biodiversity and ensure the rational use of the region’s aquatic biological resources — including helping to adjust catch limits and identify priority areas for conservation activities.
