The exhibition presents archival photographs from the funds of the branch and historical information, as well as wet preparations specially made for this exhibition from commercial and rare fish species collected in a Large African expedition.
The exhibition reflects the role of the Atlantic Branch of VNIRO in the life of the region as one of the oldest organizations in the Kaliningrad region, which has made a significant contribution to the study of the Baltic Sea and oceanic areas in terms of their commercial development and replenishment of the scientific knowledge base.
The exhibition provoked an active response from the general public interested in the history of the Kaliningrad region and marine biology.
