Pyotr Demyanovich's career began in 1971 at the USSR Ministry of Fisheries. His contribution to the development of the fisheries industry and the strengthening of Russia's international position cannot be overestimated. An important milestone was the organization in 1975 of the Russian‑The Japanese Commission for the Settlement of Fishing Claims is still working. Thanks to her work, it was possible to attract more than $ 350 million in compensation funds: they built feed and salmon plants, equipped research vessels ‑ this seriously strengthened the country's fisheries complex.
Even today, Pyotr Demyanovich remains active: he generously shares his experience with colleagues and continues to contribute to the development of industry science.
