1. The editorial board of “Fishery questions” scientific journal publishes articles which were not previously printed in other publications.
  2. All incoming articles are reviewed. The reviewers of the journal "Problems of Fisheries" are reputable scientists from Fishery Research Institutes, Institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences and other scientific organizations, which actively prints in leading scientific journals in Russia and abroad. All reviews articles and materials are stored in the publishing and editorial for 5 years. Copies of reviews are sent to the Ministry of Education and Science for admission to the editor of the corresponding request.
  3. The article should be accompanied with an Academic Council’s expert report concluding that the present article is allowed to be published, it contains no information prohibited to be either disclosed or published.
  4. The wordage of the articles submitted to editorial board should not exceed one author sheet, i.e. 24 printed pages of text written with double spacing (approximately 40 000 characters including spaces) including tables, captions and list of references. The number of figures is not more than 6. The only exception is the article prepared in accordance with the journal editorial board concurrence.
  5. The copies are submitted to the editorial board both in paper and electronic formats. The article elements (text itself, tables, captions etc.) should be written in TimesNewRoman print of 12-point type with double spacing. Electronic articles should be represented by the following files: text (with all of its elements including summary with keywords, tables, list of references and captions) and figures (each figure should be submitted as a separate element, be numbered and titled with the last name of the main author). It is also advisable to submit the article copy with all these figures included. Electronic copy of the article can be recorded on a CD (floppy discs are not acceptable) or sent via e-mail.
  6. The article should contain summary and keywords both in Russian and English.
  7.  It is advisable that the text narration corresponded to the following plan: introduction; research purpose and objectives; problem presentation and its coverage in literature; material and methodology; results; received data discussion; resume or brief conclusion; list of references. It is also necessary to take into consideration that the article should contain the following headings in separate paragraphs: “INTRODUCTION”, “MATERIAL AND METHODOLOGY”, “RESULTS”, “DISCUSSION”, (“RESULT AND DISCUSSION”), “LIST OF REFERENCES” (the author can insert particular paragraphs, headings and subheadings within the main ones listed above).
  8. Information about the author is given at the end of the article: the first names and patronymics of the authors, their actual addresses with zip-codes (both home and service addresses), telephone numbers (home and office telephone numbers), e-mail, signatures (scanned signatures are also acceptable).
  9. Each article is refereed. In case of publication denial the authors will receive reasoned decisions from Editorial Council of the journal.  
  10. The editorial board of “Fishery questions” journal reserves the right to streamline the text and make editorial alterations of the copies.
  11. The editorial board shall not accept the copies in which requirements listed above were not met.
  12. In cases when the authors keep the article more than 6 month after it was returned by the editorial board for follow-up revision, the article is registered as a newly submitted one.
  13. In case of republication the reference to the journal is obligatory.
  14. The authors do not receive honorarium.
