The release of 11 Beluga whales from Srednyaya Bay to the sea of Okhotsk took place

October 23 at 11.30 local time completed the release of 11 Beluga whales. Animals, as well as last time, were delivered by the vessel to the Sakhalin Gulf in the area of Islands of Baidukov and Chkalov and are released in places of their traditional dwelling.

Phase 6 of the marine mammal release plan has been successfully completed.

Research vessel of the Russian Federal research Institute of fisheries and Oceanography "Zodiac", taking October 18 in the Srednyaya Bay on Board 11 Beluga whales, delivered them to the Sakhalin Bay, where the release took place. The animals underwent transportation safely.

Currently, VNIRO scientists are preparing for the implementation of the next stage of production.
